Repositioning Avulsed Tooth

Before
During
After

8 year old patient fell fracturing her Right lateral inciser and partially avulsing (Knocked out) her right central inciser. At the first visit the broken tooth was treated with calcium hydroxide where the damage came close to the nerve in the tooth and the tooth was rebuilt with direct bonded composite. The partially avulsed tooth was repositioned and braced with a temporary fixed wire. One week later wire is removed and patient will now be checked every 6 months to assure no permanent damage was done to the nerves in these teeth. A crown will be required on the fractured tooth when the patient is 18 years of age.
